Annie Russell of Gretna got a piece of the Mega Millions pie when she won a $10,000 prize from the record-breaking $656 million March 30 drawing.

"I love playing, but I like to win!" an excited Russell told Lottery employees when she claimed her prize at the Louisiana Lottery's New Orleans office last week.  The 56-year-old was one of several big winners from the drawing.

Russell's ticket matched four of the white ball numbers and the yellow Mega Ball number to win $10,000. The winning numbers for the March 30 drawing were 02-04-23-38-46 and the Mega Ball was 23. Russell received $7,000 after federal and state taxes were withheld.

Russell purchased her winning ticket from Breaux Mart on LaPalco Boulevard in Gretna.

The Mega Millions jackpot for the March 30 drawing was $656 million, with a cash value of $473 million, also a world record. Jackpot-winning tickets were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. Louisiana players won $1,546,842 in the drawing, including two $250,000 winners, one $30,000 Megaplier winner and 11 winners like Russell who won $10,000.
