Long-time Louisiana Lottery Lotto player Fred Clark of Vicksburg, Miss. said his prayers were finally answered after seeing that his ticket won the jackpot prize from the Aug. 10 drawing.

“My wife and I are regular players and I’ve been praying for this for a long time now,” said Clark. “I’m going to keep on praying and maybe I’ll get lucky enough to win jackpot number two!”

The 76-year-old’s winning ticket matched all six numbers to win the $1,041,156 Lotto jackpot prize, which he claimed Monday at Louisiana Lottery headquarters. The winning numbers were 01-02-06-11-37-40.

Clark received $739,220.76 after state and federal tax withholdings. Although he has no specific plans to treat himself with the winnings, he does plan to make a donation to charity.

The winning ticket was sold at Richmond Shop A Minute on Crothers Drive in Tallulah. The store received a one-time selling bonus of $10,411.56 which is 1 percent of the jackpot prize.
