Shreveport resident uses old address to win $2,600!
Adrienne Cameron of Shreveport hedged her bet on the digits of an old home address and won $2,600 playing Louisiana Lottery’s daily-draw game, Pick 4! “I immediately thought ‘Woohoo! I’m calling my mom!” she recalled of her winning moment.
The winning ticket, which she claimed last week, was purchased at her local Brookeshire Food Store on North Market Street for the April 7 drawing.
The 39-year-old played 2-0-1-9, matching the winning numbers exactly. There are several ways to play Pick 4, but the winner chose “straight/box,” which splits her dollar wager to bet $.50 on the winning numbers matching hers in the exact order and $.50 on them matching hers in any order. In addition to Cameron’s win, an additional $212,800 was won in Shreveport and the surrounding areas playing Pick 4 during April.
