Lake Charles Man Claims $100K Easy 5 Jackpot Prize

BATON ROUGE – The jackpot-winning Easy 5 ticket from the July 15 drawing was purchased from Shop Rite #81 located at 4447 Lake Street in Lake Charles by Andy Saltzman of Lake Charles. He claimed his $100,002 prize at the Lottery’s Lafayette Regional Office on Thursday, July 16. His ticket matched all five winning numbers — 01-02-23-24-26 — from the July 15 drawing. After state and federal tax withholdings, Saltzman took home $73,001.46.

“We are incredibly excited for Mr. Saltzman and would like to congratulate him on his win,” said Lottery President Rose Hudson. “Easy 5 offers players the best overall odds of any of our draw-style games, resulting in several wins and reasons to smile.”
