BATON ROUGE - Louisiana Lottery players won over $14.6 million in prizes in October, highlighted by three winners of the first-ever Match-5 Bonus prize from the record $340 million Powerball drawingThe Match-5 winners, Clarence Granger of Gray and R. Oubre' of Gretna each won $853,492. The third ticket was sold in Shreveport, but the winner has not come forward.   

President Randy Davis said there were over $9.8 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $4.8 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

 

October's winners also included two Powerball tickets for $200,000 each, one Lotto ticket that won a $650,000 jackpot prize and 137 Lotto tickets averaging $1,835 each, one Cash Quest jackpot ticket for $50,000 and four Cash Quest ticket for $3,000.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,516,250 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,672,700.

"Last month nearly 27,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $426,371 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $98,412," Davis said. 

The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all non-jackpot related prizes for an additional $1. "With the match-5 prize doubled now to $200,000, Power Play means more million-dollar winners," he added.
