New Orleans Man Claims $275,000 Lotto Prize
C. Elloie of New Orleans claimed the $275,000 Lotto jackpot from the April 29 drawing at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's headquarters Tuesday.
Elloie's ticket matched all six Lotto numbers drawn to become the fourth Lotto jackpot winner of 2006 and the second winner in a one-week span. John Matherne of Gheens won $475,000 from the April 22 Lotto jackpot.
Elloie received $192,000 after federal and state income taxes were withheld. South Claiborne Spur on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans, the retailer that sold Elloie his winning ticket, will receive a one-time bonus of $2,750, or 1 percent of the jackpot. The winning numbers for the April 29 drawing were 8-11-12-14-15-38.
