Bossier City Resident Claims $10,000 Prize from Sept. 26 Powerball Drawing
Mary Joyce Bennett of Bossier City claimed $10,000 at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Shreveport office from the Sept. 26 Powerball drawing.
Bennett's Powerball ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number to win $10,000. She purchased her winning ticket at Day & Night #91 on Mansfield Road in Shreveport.
"It was intuition that told me to pick those numbers!" said Bennett, age 43. "My intuition never fails me — so I knew I would win!" She said she plans to use her winnings to fulfill a 20-year dream to patent a product she created.
The winning numbers for the Sept. 26 drawing were 25-27-31-44-54 and the Powerball number was 8.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867.
