Tommy Faul of Cankton got the birthday surprise of a lifetime, when he opened a greeting card containing a $100,000 top-prize winning World Champions New Orleans Saints scratch-off.

Faul, who was celebrating his 60th birthday, received the birthday card from his sister-in-law.  After purchasing two $5 Louisiana Lottery scratch-off tickets, she scratched one ticket and saved the other for her brother-in-law's birthday card.

"It feels unbelievable to win," said Faul.  "My wife kept saying 'this can't be true' so we had our son take it to the convenience store to be sure it was true and it was."

The employees at Butch's Food Mart & Deli on Main Street in Arnaudville were just as excited about selling the winning ticket since the store recently reopened.

"I work three jobs because my wife is disabled," shared Faul.  "We plan to pay off her car and the house, and take care of my wife's sister, too."

World Champions New Orleans Saints is a $5 game that features the chance to win up to 15 times on each ticket. The game has one $100,000 top prize remaining as of today.
