BATON ROUGE - Louisiana Lottery players won over $16.4 million in prizes in February, highlighted by two Match-5 Bonus prize winning tickets from the record $365 million Powerball drawing Feb. 18.

The Match-5 Bonus tickets were purchased in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles and each ticket was worth $667,142.

President Randy Davis said there were over $8.8 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $7.6 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.  "This is the highest monthly prize winnings total since last February when a $40.6 million Powerball jackpot winning ticket was purchased in Baton Rouge and the month's winnings exceeded $51 million," Davis explained.

February's winners also included one Powerball ticket for $200,000 and 23 Powerball tickets for $10,000 each; 165 Lotto tickets averaging $2,040 each and two Cash Quest tickets for $3,000 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $2,160,900 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,099,700.

"Last month over 35,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $514,373 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $161,503," Davis said.

The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot related prizes for an additional $1.  From March 2 to March 29, Power Play purchasers have the chance to multiply their nonjackpot prize up to 10 times when one of the "5's" on the Power Play wheel is replaced with a "10."
