Natchez Woman Claims $50,000 Raffle Prize
Allen, age 51, shared that she plans to use her winnings to remodel her home and purchase a truck. She purchased her winning ticket at Papa T's on Carter Street in Vidalia. This retailer received a $500 bonus for selling Allen her winning ticket.
$1,000,000 RAFFLE offered players the best odds of any Louisiana Lottery game to win $1 million with only 300,000 tickets available for sale. Tickets sold out on April 14. On April 15, one winning raffle number worth $1 million, five winning raffle numbers worth $50,000 each and 500 winning raffle numbers worth $500 each were drawn. In all, 506 raffle numbers won $1.5 million in cash prizes.
As with all Lottery draw-style games, prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing, which is Oct. 12, 2010, for $1,000,000 RAFFLE prizes. Original tickets are needed to claim any prize.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
