Lake Charles Woman Claims $10,000 Zulu Prize
"I scratched my ticket and thought it must be some mistake, so I just kept looking at it," explained Fruge. "Finally, I brought my ticket back to customer service to have someone else check it for me."
"After the clerk scanned it, she told me that my ticket had to be claimed at the Lottery office," said Fruge. "She looked at the ticket one more time and said 'Ms. Bea, you won $10,000!'"
Fruge, age 75, purchased her top-prize winning ticket at Albertson's #2717 on Ryan Street in Lake Charles. She plans to use her winnings to pay-off bills and semi-retire.
Zulu is a $2 Louisiana-themed scratch-off that offers the chance to win up to 10 times on each ticket. There is one remaining top prize as of March 23.
