Denham Springs Man Claims Spicy Top Prize

During his usual stop at a convenience store before work, Marvin Trahan of Denham Springs picked up something a little spicy with his soft drink, and it was not a bag of chips. Trahan's Spicy 7's scratch-off ticket from the Louisiana Lottery won him a $7,777 top prize.
"I usually buy $2 tickets and scratch them in the car," said Trahan, age 37. "I read the directions several times to make sure I was playing the game right, then went back in the store to have the clerk look at the ticket. She was very excited for me!"
Trahan said he plans to use some of his winnings to purchase a "big screen TV." He purchased his ticket at Cracker Barrel #23 on South Range Avenue in Denham Springs.
Spicy 7's is a $2 game that offers a chance to win up to 10 times on each ticket. The game has four $7,777 top prizes remaining as of Feb. 12.
