Amanda Thrash of Conehatta, Miss., received a very special Christmas gift from her uncle: a $10,000 top prize winning 'Tis the Season scratch-off, which she claimed at the Louisiana Lottery's Monroe office.

"My uncle bought me the ticket as a Christmas present," explained Thrash, 23. "I am so excited that I don't even remember what my other presents were!"

Thrash said she plans to use her winning to pay bills. Her winning scratch-off was purchased at Delta Discount on Highway 193 in Delta.

According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all top prizes for the game have been claimed. All top prizes from 'Tis the Season have been claimed, and the game closed Jan. 6. The last day to redeem prizes from the game is May 1.
