New Iberia Resident Claims $90,606 Easy 5 Jackpot from Oct. 8 Drawing

Kam Kaysonpheth of New Iberia likes to pick his own Lottery numbers, and they turned out to be a winning combination for the Oct. 8 Easy 5 drawing. He claimed the $90,606 jackpot prize at the Lottery's Lafayette office Oct. 10.
Kaysonpheth, age 39, said he was "shocked" to discover his ticket matched all five of the Easy 5 numbers drawn. After state and federal withholding taxes, he received $63,424, which he plans to use to pay off bills.
Kaysonpheth purchased his winning ticket at Circle K #1731 on Jefferson Terrace in New Iberia. The store will receive a one time bonus of $906 for selling the winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the Oct. 8 Easy 5 drawing were 08-15-24-33-36. Easy 5 drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday. Players can win a prize by matching as few as two numbers. For an additional $1, players can add ezmatch to their Easy 5 ticket for the chance to win up to $250 instantly.
