New Orleans Resident Claims a $100,000 Fabulous Fortune Top Prize

Blair Portier's wife gave him an unexpected surprise when she brought home a $5 Fabulous Fortune scratch-off ticket. The 51-year old Houma resident scratched the ticket and discovered he won a $100,000 top prize, which he claimed at the Louisiana Lottery's New Orleans office.
"It's an awesome feeling -- still hard to believe!" he exclaimed.
Portier's wife purchased his winning ticket at Ricky's Quick Stop on West Park Avenue in Houma. He said he plans to use his winnings to pay off debts.
Fabulous Fortune is one of the Lottery's $5 scratch-off games. It has three top prizes of $100,000 remaining as of March 4 and offers players the chance to win up to 15 times.
