Mississippi Resident Claims $114,481 Easy 5 Jackpot

Timothy C. Reilly of Ocean Springs, Miss. woke up on Dec. 13 wondering if he was still in a dream.  That was when he found out he had won the $114,481 Easy 5 jackpot from the Dec. 12 drawing at Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office.

"Isn't life sweet?" said Reilly.  "I've been in a dream state ever since I found out."  He said he plans to use his winnings for holiday shopping and paying bills. 

Reilly, age 48, purchased his winning ticket at Winn Dixie #1329 on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. The store will receive a one-time selling bonus of $1,144 or one percent of the jackpot.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 12 Easy 5 drawing were 12-29-31-32-35.  Reilly's ticket was a "quick pick," meaning the Lottery's terminal randomly selected his numbers.  Reilly received $80,136 after state and federal withholding taxes.

Easy 5 drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday.  Players can win a prize by matching as few as two numbers. For a limited time and for an additional $1, players can add ezmatch to their Easy 5 ticket for the chance to win up to $250 instantly.
