Merryville Resident Claims $10,000 Top Prize from Scrath-Off Ticket

Betty Hudson of Merryville claimed a $10,000 top prize on an A Gift For You scratch-off ticket at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Alexandria office.
"I am just so excited about winning! I play all the time and this is fantastic," said Hudson, age 55. She purchased her winning ticket at Merryville Truck Stop on Highway 190 West in Merryville. Hudson said she plans to use her winnings to replace all the carpet in her house with tile.
Designed for gift giving and special occasions, this $2 game has four top prizes remaining as of Dec. 5.
