Louisiana Lottery Reminds Players of Final Golden Nugget® Second-Chance Drawing Deadline
The Louisiana Lottery closed its $2, $5 and $10 scratch-off games, Golden Nugget® $14,000, Golden Nugget® $100,000 and Golden Nugget® $200,000, on Nov. 5 and Nov. 18 in advance of its final second-chance drawing promotion entry deadline on Dec. 2. During that drawing, five entries will be drawn to win VIP Prize Packages, including a chance to win up to $1 million.
The prize packages consist of a VIP trip for the winner and a guest to the Golden Nugget Lake Charles Hotel and Casino March 7-9, 2025, to participate in the Louisiana Lottery Golden Nugget® Grand Prize Event on March 8, 2025; suite accommodations for two nights at the Golden Nugget Lake Charles; $100 food credit; and $1,000 spending cash with federal and state withholdings paid on the winner’s behalf.
The winners will also have the chance to participate in an exclusive Louisiana Lottery cash-prize event at the casino during their trip experience for the opportunity to win cash prizes of up to $1 million.
The first second-chance drawing was held in July and the following winners were selected from over 33,000 entries. Blaise Dempster of Destrehan, Ronald Wilkinson of Maurepas, Linda Granger of Eunice, Coby Williams of Breaux Bridge and Eloise Horton of Baton Rouge.
Players are encouraged to submit $10 worth of nonwinning $2 Golden Nugget® $14,000, $5 Golden Nugget® $100,000 or $10 Golden Nugget® $200,000 in any combination to the second-chance drawings for the golden opportunity to win.

Players may enter multiple times, but each entry should be mailed in a separate envelope by the Dec. 2 entry deadline. Entries not selected in the first drawing will be included in the second drawing. Entrants may win only one Golden Nugget® VIP Prize Package in the entire promotion. Entrants must be at least 21 years of age and not on the casino's list of self-excluded/prohibited individuals.
Cash prizes on the $5 and $10 Golden Nugget® scratch-off games can be claimed through March 17, 2025, and cash prizes on the $2 game can be claimed through March 4, 2025.
Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Scratch-off tickets must be claimed within 90 days of the official game closure date. Anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem should call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
