Gertrude Reilly of Boyce claimed a $20,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Alexandria office from the April 11 Powerball drawing. Reilly purchased the $1 Power Play option on her ticket, which means she won two times the usual $10,000 prize when the Power Play multiplier "2" was selected during the drawing.

"I always play Powerball and I always get the Power Play option," explained Reilly.  "I am so thankful!"  Reilly, age 75, said she plans to use her winnings to pay her bills and have corrective eye surgery.

Reilly's winning ticket was a "quick pick," meaning her numbers were generated by the Lottery's computer.  She purchased her winning ticket at Leavine's General Store on Holt Store Road in Boyce.  The winning numbers for the April 11 Powerball drawing were 6-15-38-42-51 and the Powerball number was 18.

Reilly's ticket matched four white ball numbers drawn plus the Powerball number to win a prize of $10,000.  She chose the Power Play option and multiplied her winnings by two times for a total of $20,000.  The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot-related prizes for an additional $1 per play.

During the month of April, the Lottery will replace one of the "5s" on the Power Play wheel with a "10."  The Power Play 10X promotion will run April 2-28, 2006, no matter how many times the "10" is selected on the Power Play wheel. However, if the "10" is not selected during that time period, the promotion will be extended until it is selected once.
