Slidell Man’s Unreal Experience

Ray McDonald of Slidell claimed the $275,000 Lotto jackpot from the Aug. 3 drawing at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's headquarters.
McDonald's ticket matched all six numbers drawn to become the third Lotto jackpot winner in the last week and the tenth winner this year. He received $192,500 after federal and state income taxes were withheld.
A loyal lottery player, McDonald said he buys Lotto, Powerball and Cash Quest tickets for every drawing. "I bought several tickets for Wednesday's drawing and sure enough, the last one I checked was the winner. It's unreal!" exclaimed McDonald. "I usually use family members' birthdays, but this time I just chose random numbers." He also said he recently won $3,000 on Cash Quest.
L & M Chevron on Highway 190 in Lacombe, which sold McDonald his winning ticket, will receive a one-time bonus of $2,750, or 1 percent of the jackpot. The winning numbers for the Aug. 3 Lotto drawing were 2-6-8-17-19-25.
