BATON ROUGE – For the first quarter of fiscal year 2024, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation transferred more than $54.6 million to the state treasury, about $4.1 million more than the same quarter last year and exceeding budgeted transfers by over $11.1 million.
“This fiscal year is off to a spectacular start thanks to the excitement generated by back-to-back billion-dollar Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots hit in July and August,” said Lottery President Rose Hudson. “Although it is impossible to predict when these types of top-10 jackpots will occur, we are committed to building on their momentum by providing first-class game experiences that continue to capture our players’ imagination!”
