Halfway Through Fiscal Year, Lottery Transfers to State Up $6.8 Million

BATON ROUGE – For the second quarter of fiscal year 2018, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation transferred more than $41 million to the state treasury, bringing total year-to-date contributions to $85 million, up $6.8 million from the first two quarters of fiscal year 2017 and exceeding budgeted transfers by more than $3.5 million.
“Sales for this fiscal year remain strong thanks to historic Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots, and a high demand for our scratch-off games,” said Lottery President Rose Hudson. “The Lottery team is proud of what we have been able to give back so far this fiscal year and will continue working hard to maximize revenue for the state of Louisiana.
