Louisiana Lottery President Elected to Board of North American Industry Association
Representing 52 lottery organizations, NASPL provides a central information source for industry expertise, resources and advice. In her leadership role, Hudson will assist in facilitating communication among its members regarding development of industry standards and policy, particularly those which relate to the integrity, security and efficiency of member lotteries.
Earlier this year, Hudson was elected secretary of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), a non-profit organization of 33-member lotteries which operate Mega Millions and Powerball. The association also tapped her as vice chairman of its Powerball Game Group which manages the game's $2 million annual budget, rules and policies.
Hudson became the Louisiana Lottery's fourth president in June 2006. Under her leadership, the past eight years have ranked among the most successful in the Lottery's 22-year history. Fiscal year 2013 was the Lottery's second best ever with transfers to Louisiana K-12 education surpassing $160 million.
