Lottery Announces Winners of First Saints Second-Chance Drawing

Jackie Stepp of Houma is a big New Orleans Saints fan. She and her husband host a "Saints party" every game day, but she has never been to a game to watch "her team" play. That will all change on Oct. 18 when Stepp will visit the Dome to watch the Saints take on New York (NFC) as the 2009 Ultimate Saints Fan Experience winner from the first New Orleans Saints second-chance drawing.
"I couldn't believe it when I got the call. I just started crying," said Stepp, age 62. "I just want to let everyone know that they should send in their nonwinning tickets because people really do win!"
Two finalists were also selected during the first second-chance drawing. Shanna Johnson of Gonzales won an autographed helmet and jersey, and David Trahan of Kaplan won an autographed football and jersey.

The Lottery also reminds players the deadline for its second New Orleans Saints second-chance drawing is Thursday, Oct. 15
During the next second-chance drawing, two finalists will each win official Saints merchandise, including an autographed jersey and a football or helmet. One winner will be selected to win a 2009 Ultimate Saints Fan Experience that includes four Club Sideline tickets to the Saints vs. Carolina game on Nov. 8 in the Superdome, access to a Saints VIP Clubroom at that game, a parking pass, four pre-game field passes, one-night accommodations at a downtown New Orleans hotel (two rooms), a $200 dinner allotment at a designated downtown New Orleans restaurant for four people and $500 spending cash.
To enter the second-chance drawings, players should complete the information on the back of nonwinning $5 New Orleans Saints scratch-off tickets and mail one ticket per envelope no larger than 4.5" by 9.5" to the address printed on the back of the ticket. The entry must arrive at the second-chance drawing address by the Oct. 15 deadline to be entered into the second drawing; otherwise, it will be entered into the third drawing. Players can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry should be mailed in a separate envelope.
The Louisiana Lottery is solely responsible for administering the game and second-chance drawings. Complete rules can be found on the Lottery's Web site.
Lottery ticket purchasers and second-chance drawing entrants must be at least 21 years of age. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help is available by calling 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
