Tallulah Man Finds $12,000 Top Prize on Treasure Scratch-off

It didn't come in a large buried chest, but Carl Martin of Tallulah was still pleased to uncover a $12,000 top-prize after scratching a Treasure scratch-off ticket from the Louisiana Lottery. Martin claimed his winning ticket at the Lottery's Monroe office.
Martin said he was excited to discover he won and plans to deposit his winnings into his savings account.
He purchased his winning scratch-off from Sportsmans Super Stop on North Chestnut Street in Tallulah.
Treasure is a $2 scratch-off game that offers players the chance to win up to $12,000. With up to 10 chances to win on each ticket, the game has one remaining top prize as of Jan. 20.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
For security purposes, the Lottery also encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
