Sitting in his car in the hot summer sun, David Colligan of Denham Springs scratched the Mega Money scratch-off ticket he bought and won one of the game's $200,000 top prizes.

"I had the ticket for a week, but I couldn't get off work to claim it until today," said Colligan. The 21-year-old said he plans to buy his parents a new house and car with his winnings.

Colligan purchased his winning scratch-off from Cracker Barrel #15 on Cockerham Road in Denham Springs.
