The Louisiana Lottery announced that as of 3:10 p.m. Friday, April 4, tickets for its $10 Millionaire Raffle game are sold out, with the drawing to occur on April 15 at 9 a.m. at the Lottery's Baton Rouge headquarters.

"With only 300,000 tickets originally for sale, Millionaire Raffle represents the best odds our players have ever had to win $1 million. We're now waiting for the April 15 drawing to find out who will be the Louisiana Lottery's next millionaire," said Lottery President Rose Hudson.

In addition to the $1 million winning raffle number, five numbers worth $50,000 and another 500 numbers worth $500 will also be drawn. In all, 506 players will win $1.5 million in cash prizes.

Hudson advised players to sign the back of their tickets for security purposes and to keep them in a safe place until the drawing. Original tickets are needed to claim any prize.  All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the April 15 drawing.

Odds of winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 300,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 593. Like all Lottery games, 50 percent of Millionaire Raffle ticket sales is used to fund the game's prizes; 35 percent is transferred to the state for the Minimum Foundation Program which funds public education in Louisiana; at least 5 percent is paid as commission to retailers that sell tickets; and less than 10 percent is retained by the Lottery to fund its operations.

Millionaire Raffle drawing results, including a printable list of all 506 winning raffle numbers for all three prize tiers, will be available on the Web site after 3 p.m. on April 15 following the drawing at 9:00 a.m. Copies of results will also be distributed at all Louisiana Lottery offices and by mail to those who request a copy.

Players must be at least 21 years of age to purchase Lottery tickets. In addition, the Lottery cautions players to play responsibly. Help is available to those who may have a gambling problem by calling toll-free, 1-877-770-7867.
