Louisiana Lottery players won more than $15.2 million in prizes in January, highlighted by a Lotto jackpot ticket worth $1,125,000 and one Powerball ticket worth $600,000.

President Rose Hudson said there were over $7.3 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $7.9 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

January's winners also included two Powerball tickets for $200,000 each, five Powerball tickets for $10,000 each and 140 Lotto tickets averaging $2,150 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,699,640 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,222,600.

"Last month nearly 22,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $679,602 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $317,142.  This included one player who won $600,000 and two players who averaged $40,000," Hudson said.

The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot prizes for an additional $1.  From April 2 to April 28, Power Play purchasers will have the chance to multiply their nonjackpot prize up to 10 times when one of the "5's" on the Power Play wheel is replaced with a "10."

Hudson reminded ticket purchasers to play responsibly, encouraging anyone who has a gambling problem, or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.  Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
