BATON ROUGE - Louisiana Lottery players won more than $14.8 million in prizes in December, highlighted by one player who won a $750,000 Lotto jackpot and three players who each won $200,000 on Powerball.

President Randy Davis said there were nearly $7.1 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $7.7 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

December's winners also included 11 Powerball tickets for $10,000 each, 103 Lotto tickets averaging $2,484 each and three Cash Quest tickets for $3,000.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $2,473,470 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,125,200.

"Last month over 19,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $305,415 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $107,218.  This included two players who each won $50,000," Davis said.

The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all non-jackpot prizes for an additional $1. "With the match-5 prize doubled now to $200,000, Power Play can produce more million-dollar winners," he added.

Davis reminded ticket purchasers to play responsibly, encouraging anyone who has a gambling problem, or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.  Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
