BATON ROUGE -- Louisiana Lottery players won over $10 million in prizes in August, highlighted by two players who each won a $275,000 Lotto jackpot.

President Randy Davis said there were nearly $5.2 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and nearly $5.2 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

August's winners also included one Powerball ticket for $100,000, two Powerball tickets for $10,000 each and seven Powerball tickets for $5,000 each; 122 Lotto tickets averaging $2,025 each; one Cash Quest jackpot ticket for $50,000 and five Cash Quest tickets for $3,000 each; Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,825,420 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $736,600.

"Last month nearly 16,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $270,997 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $80,714. This included one player who won $25,000," Davis said. "The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all prizes excluding the jackpot for an additional $1."

Davis reminded ticket purchasers to play responsibly, encouraging anyone who has a gambling problem, or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help. Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
