Louisiana Lottery players won over $13.1 million in prizes in October, highlighted by two Powerball tickets worth $200,000 each.

President Rose Hudson said there were nearly $5.4 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $7.7 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

October winners also included 10 Powerball tickets worth $10,000 each; 139 Lotto tickets averaging $2,181 each; two Cash Quest jackpot tickets worth $50,000 each and two Cash Quest tickets worth $3,000 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,616,840 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,068,300.
 
"Last month over 21,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $336,079 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $107,855.  This included one Powerball ticket worth $40,000," Hudson said.  "The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot-related prizes for an additional $1 per play."
