Louisiana Lottery players won over $28.1 million in prizes in September, highlighted by one Powerball jackpot ticket worth $15 million that was sold in Cut Off.

President Rose Hudson said there were over $21.1 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and nearly $7 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

September winners also included three Powerball tickets worth $200,000 each and 15 Powerball tickets worth $10,000 each; 159 Lotto tickets averaging $1,934; one Cash Quest jackpot ticket worth $50,000 and two Cash Quest tickets worth $3,000 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,502,250 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,201,900.

"Last month over 28,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $434,368 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $158,932.  This included three Powerball tickets worth $40,000 each," Hudson said.  "The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot-related prizes for an additional $1 per play."

Hudson reminded ticket purchasers to play responsibly, encouraging anyone who has a gambling problem, or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.  Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
