Players Win Over $13.3 Million in August

Louisiana Lottery players won over $13.3 million in prizes in August, highlighted by two Lotto jackpots worth $250,000 each and another worth $325,000.

President Rose Hudson said there were over $6.7 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $6.6 million in scratch-off game winnings last month.

August winners also included three Powerball tickets worth $200,000 each and 15 Powerball tickets worth $10,000 each; 126 Lotto tickets averaging $2,054; two Cash Quest jackpot tickets worth $50,000 each and two Cash Quest tickets worth $3,000 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,545,230 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $1,150,300.
 
"Last month nearly 26,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $432,603 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $158,181.  This included four Powerball tickets worth $40,000 each," Hudson said.  "The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all non jackpot-related prizes for an additional $1 per play."
