On Aug. 2, the Lotto jackpot was hit for the fifth time in six weeks - this time by a Hahnville man,  Louie Schexnayder Sr., who claimed his $325,000 prize at Lottery headquarters Monday afternoon.

Schexnayder received $227,500 after state and federal income tax withholdings. He purchased his winning ticket at Kentwood Plaza on Avenue G in Kentwood. That  Lottery retailer will receive a one-time bonus of $3,250, or 1 percent of the jackpot.

The winning numbers for the Aug. 2 Lotto drawing were 14-23-27-30-32-34.  More than 9,000 other Lotto players also won prizes, including 15 players who won $2,103 each.

Schexnayder's win comes on the heels of four other Lotto jackpot wins since  June 21. Most recently, Delmus Hodge Jr. of St. Francisville claimed $350,000 from the July 19 drawing.
