Players Win Nearly $14 Million in May

Louisiana Lottery players won nearly $14 million in prizes in May, highlighted by two Powerball tickets worth $200,000 each.

There were over $6.8 million in Louisiana Powerball, Lotto, Cash Quest, Pick 4 and Pick 3 winnings and over $7.1 million in scratch-off game winnings last month. 

May winners also included ten Powerball tickets worth $10,000 each; 108 Lotto tickets averaging $2,428 each; one Cash Quest jackpot ticket worth $50,000 and four Cash Quest tickets worth $3,000 each.  Pick 3 winners won a total of $1,788,140 and Pick 4 winners won a total of $2,443,300.

Last month over 24,000 Power Play purchasers won a bonus total of $248,764 in addition to their regular Powerball prize total of $132,102.  This included two tickets averaging $25,000 each. 

The Power Play option offers Powerball ticket purchasers the chance to multiply their winnings up to five times on all nonjackpot related prizes for an additional $1.
