BATON ROUGE — The final $1 million prize from the notable April 29 Powerball drawing has yet to be claimed. The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K #9729, located at 5055 Jones Creek Road in Baton Rouge.
The April 29 Powerball drawing produced a remarkable eleven winning tickets worth $1 million or more, sold across ten different retailers statewide and totaling $16 million in winnings.
The winning ticket matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win $1 million. The winning numbers for the drawing were 03-19-35-51-67, and the red Powerball number was 15.
The holder of the winning ticket has until 5 p.m. on the date of expiration, October 26, to claim their prize, subject to the Lottery’s hours of operation. Until then, the ticket should be treated like cash. The Louisiana Lottery encourages all players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing to protect their claim.
“The April 29 drawing had everyone talking for weeks, and there’s nothing we love more than seeing Louisiana residents win big.” said Lottery President Rose Hudson. “We’re excited for this million-dollar winner to step forward.”
Winnings are subject to applicable federal and state tax withholdings.
Winners of the Lottery’s draw-style games must claim their prize within 180 days of the drawing. After prizes have passed their redemption deadlines, they are deposited into the Lottery’s unclaimed prize fund, which is returned to players in the form of increased payouts on instant-win games and player promotions.
Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. The Lottery encourages responsible play and urges anyone or friends of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help. A list of large unclaimed prizes set to expire in the next 90 days can be found on the Lottery’s website at Unclaimed Prizes | Louisiana Lottery Corporation.
