Varnado had two winning tickets for $500 each, totaling $1,000. 
He played his tickets as a "straight" set, which meant that his numbers had match the numbers drawn in exact order to win $5,000 on a $1 play.
He purchased his winning tickets at Boone's Grocery and Bait on GIlbert Street Highway 15 South in Gilbert.
