Winner Walter Bynum said the $1 ticket Make My Day was on his mind for about a week before he finally decided to play it. "I told the retailer to double check the ticket," Walter said. He immediately told his daughter after making sure he had the big winner. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Eastside Stop & Shop in Monroe and Walter plans to use his $5000 to fix his car. 

"You're going to hit one day… that's it!" Walter said when asked what his favorite part of playing the Lottery is. Remember, it only takes one ticket to win big!
