West Baton Rouge resident claims $246,000 Easy 5 Jackpot

Lionell Matthews of West Baton Rouge discovered that consistency pays off during the July 15 Easy 5 drawing! The frequent Lottery player broke the game’s jackpot rolling streak – which began June 3 when he matched all five numbers drawn to win $246,000! 

 “I was just a ball of emotions” Matthews said, as he recounted his big winning moment. He received $172,201.40 after federal and state taxes were withheld and plans to use his winnings to pay off his bills. The winning numbers were 13-18-19-26-29.
