The Louisiana Lottery Celebrates National Lottery Week July 14-18

BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Lottery will join other lotteries across North America in celebrating National Lottery Week July 14-18 to spotlight how lotteries are a winning ticket for communities! Each day the Lottery will focus on a different theme, culminating on Friday with a social media timeline promotion and prize pack giveaway.  

The observance will kick off on Monday with the Lottery highlighting its responsible gaming efforts featuring the Lottery’s responsible gaming video. 

On Tuesday, the Lottery plans to spotlight some of its winners, from draw games to instant-win prizes, as well as winners of second-chance drawings and special promotions. Since its inception, the Lottery has paid out more than $5 billion to lucky winners!  

Wednesday will focus on several of the nearly 3,000 retailers throughout the state and share their stories of what the Lottery’s partnership has done for their businesses.  

On National Lottery Day, contributions made to the Lottery’s main beneficiary, K-12 public education, will be highlighted Thursday.  

“We always strive to give Louisianians the best bang for their buck by offering engaging and exciting lottery games and promotions,” said Lottery President Rose Hudson, “but the true reason to smile is giving back to our communities by raising over $4.9 billion for K-12 public education since our inception!” 

Finally, Friday will be the Reason to Smile promotion, where Facebook fans can get in on the fun with a social media timeline promotion!
