St. Martinville Resident Claims Top Prize from Scratch-off Ticket

Annette M. Touchet LeMaire of St. Martinville said she couldn't stand up or even breathe when she first saw that she had won a $100,000 top prize on a Take 5 scratch-off ticket.  She claimed her prize as soon as she could at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Lafayette office.

"This is indescribable!" exclaimed Lemaire, age 36.  "Take 5 is my favorite game.  It's all I play."  She said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills. 

Lemaire purchased her winning ticket at Big Dee's Grocery on Catahoula Highway in St. Martinville.

Players must be at least 21 to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867.
