Saint Maurice Resident Claims $10,000 Top Prize from Scratch-Off Ticket

Monica Evans of Saint Maurice tried something new and ended up winning a $10,000 top prize on a 10X the Money scratch-off ticket, which she claimed at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Alexandria office.
"I wanted to try a new game," said Evans, age 30. "You can't win if you don't play!"
She purchased her winning ticket at Shop A Lot #20 on Highway 3175 in Natchitoches. Evans, who plans to share her winnings with her family, said that she has previously won playing Pick 3.
The $2 scratch-off ticket 10X the Money offers six remaining top prizes as of Jan. 20 and the chance to win up to 10 times on each ticket.
Players must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867.
