Ringgold Woman Claims $100,000 Top Prize from Funky 5’s Scratch-off

Sharon Simpson was ready to boogie after realizing she held a $100,000 top-prize winning Funky 5's scratch-off ticket from the Louisiana Lottery.

The 47-year-old Ringgold resident purchased her winning ticket from Tobacco One Stop #2 on Cut off Road in Coushatta.  She said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

Funky 5's is a $5 game that features the chance to win up to 15 times on each ticket. The game has one $100,000 top prize remaining as of Sept. 3.

Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket.  The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help. For security purposes, the Lottery also encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
