New Iberia Resident Claims $10,000 on Lottery Scratch-Off
Crystal Bouton of New Iberia claimed a $10,000 top prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Lafayette office from the A Gift For You scratch-off game.
"This is unbelievable," Bouton said. She said that she purchased the ticket as a birthday gift for herself. According to Bouton, she carried the ticket around in her purse all day before she remembered to scratch the ticket. "It's the best present I've ever bought for myself!" said Bouton, who plans to use her winnings to take a trip.
Bouton purchased her winning ticket at Food N Fun #14 on Center Street in New Iberia.
A Gift For You offers seven remaining top prizes as of Feb. 28, the chance to win up to 10 times on each ticket and 1:4.37 overall odds of winning a prize.
