Milton, Fla. Resident Claims a $200,000 Powerball Prize
While Jeffery White of Milton, Fla. was in New Orleans, he decided to purchase a Louisiana Lottery Powerball ticket. The trip was made even more memorable when White's ticket matched five of the numbers drawn on May 10 to win $200,000.
"I am so happy," White shared after claiming his prize at the Lottery's New Orleans office. "I am going to keep playing so I can return to claim a million."
White, age 45, purchased his winning ticket at the RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. #292 on North Highway 190 in Covington. RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. #292 received a $2,000 selling bonus for selling White his winning ticket. White said he plans to use his winnings for his daughter's wedding and to purchase a home.
The winning numbers for the May 10 Powerball drawing were 07-18-30-41-45 and the Powerball number was 06. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
