Louisiana Lotterys King Cake Blowout Web Promotion Rules
Dec. 7, 2020 to Jan. 24, 2021

Contest Description:
Louisiana residents who are at least 21 years of age are invited to enter the Lotterys King Cake Blowout website promotion for a chance to win one of 100 King Cake Blowout Prizes.

How to Enter:
Beginning Monday, Dec. 7, eligible participants are invited to share their favorite Mardi Gras memory on the form on the Lotterys website for a chance to win a King Cake Blowout Prize. Participants can receive an extra bonus entry by submitting a photo of themselves with either one of the tickets. The prize includes a large regular king cake shipped from Cartozzo's Bakery plus a prize package with $10 worth of Louisiana Lottery Mardi Gras scratch-offs, koozies and T-shirt.

Entries must be submitted electronically via the entry form on the Lottery's website before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. To view the form, visit: www.louisianalottery.com/mardi-gras. No entries will be accepted in person, by mail, or through any other method. Only one entry per person is allowed. No purchase is necessary to submit an entry for the promotion.

Inappropriate or offensive comments or photos will be deleted and not considered as entries.

Prizes:
Winners will receive a Louisiana Lottery Mardi Gras Blowout Prize that includes a large regular king cake shipped from Cartozzo's Bakery plus a prize package with $10 worth of Louisiana Lottery Mardi Gras scratch-offs, koozies and T-shirt.

Prizes have no cash value. In the unlikely event the Lottery is unable to fulfill a stated prize due to circumstances beyond its control, a prize(s) of equal or greater value will be substituted at the Lottery's sole discretion.

Winner Selection and Notification:
Each Friday from January 8 -29, 2021, twenty-five (25) winners will be randomly selected live on Facebook from the field of valid entries received through the previous Sunday to receive a prize package for a total of 100 winners during the promotion. Winner names will also be posted to the Lotterys promotional landing page. Winner photos and stories may be shared and used for advertising the Mardi Gras games on the Lotterys website and social media accounts.

Winners will be notified via a post on the Lottery's social media accounts and via an email to the address provided on their entry. Prizes will be shipped to the address provided as part of the entry.
In the event the email address and/or shipping address provided is undeliverable, the Lottery may, at its discretion, assign an alternate winner.

Eligibility:
This promotion is open to Louisiana residents at least 21 years of age. Residency and age will be verified. The following individuals are excluded from participating in Louisiana Lottery promotions:

  • Any member of the Board of Directors, officer or employee of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.
  • Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any Louisiana Lottery employee, officer or member of the Board of Directors.
  • Any employee of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2020 or 2021 calendar years. This includes but is not limited to advertising agencies, gaming system vendors, printers, auditors, promotional product suppliers, etc.
  • Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing in the same household of any company or vendor awarded a contract or subcontract to conduct business with, assigned to perform services for or provide goods to the Louisiana Lottery for any duration in the 2020 or 2021 calendar years.
  • Any person who falls into one of the categories listed above or who does not meet the age and residency requirements will be deemed ineligible to participate.

Acknowledgments:
All contest entrants agree to comply with these rules and accept the Lottery's interpretation of them in executing the contest.

In addition, entrants agree to participate in the Lottery's publicity efforts in conjunction with this contest, including but not limited to photo publication, press releases, interviews and media coverage.

Entrants also acknowledge that in matters of administering the contest, the decisions of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation are binding and final.

All contest entrants attest that they are submitting an original photo that is not copied in whole or in part from any work other than their own. Contest entrants agree their photo does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other proprietary rights of any person or entity, and that their photo is their sole, exclusive work.

All participants entering this contest agree to grant the Louisiana Lottery royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive rights to display, distribute, reproduce, modify and create derivative works of the entries for any purpose, trade, advertising, promotional or otherwise, and in any electronic, print or other media (now existing or subsequently developed) the Lottery chooses, now or at any time in the future, should their entry be selected as a contest winner. In addition, all entrants agree to participate in the Lottery's publicity efforts in conjunction with this contest, including but not limited to photo publication.

The Louisiana Lottery will not be required to pay any additional costs or seek additional approval in connection with such aforementioned uses. Once submitted, all entries become the property of the Louisiana Lottery.

Entrants also acknowledge that in matters of administering the contest, the decisions of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation are binding and final. All contest entrants agree to comply with these rules and accept the Lotterys interpretation of them in executing the contest.

If a dispute arises over the identity of a participant who submitted an entry, the authorized account holder of the email account associated with the entry will be deemed the participant.

The Louisiana Lottery and Cartozzos Bakery shall have no responsibility or liability for any actual or claimed harm that may arise due to promotional materials or prizes. The Louisiana Lottery is not responsible or liable for any error, omission or any technical problem related to its promotions, including but not limited to entries and submissions, website problems, applications problems, internet problems or problems with a participant's computer. If for some reason a promotion is not capable of running as originally planned, the Lottery has the right to modify, suspend or cancel all or any portion of the promotion's rules.
