LOUISIANA LOTTERY REPORTS OCTOBER WINNINGS

BATON ROUGE – Louisiana scratch-off players took home nearly $18 million in cash prizes in October, including three different $200,000 top prizes from the 50X the Cash, Six Figures, and Louisiana Seasons scratch-offs sold in Lake Charles, Marksville, and Ruston respectively. The Lottery reported more than $7.9 million won during drawings held in October, and Fast Play players also won nearly $1 million last month.

Draw-Style Game Prizes

  • Pick 3: $3,659,720
  • Pick 4: $1,515,000
  • Pick 5: $572,075

There was a dip in Powerball wins from the previous month with prizes totaling $209,215 and an additional $542,486 won by players purchasing the Power Play option, for a total of $751,701 in winnings. The $1 Power Play option gives Powerball players the chance to increase any non-jackpot winnings.

Mega Millions drawings held in October saw a slight bump, producing $752,395 in winnings.

The Lotto jackpot continued to roll throughout the month, last won back in April. However, there were 91 match-5 Lotto prizes won totaling $91,000, which helped to bring Lotto’s monthly total winnings to $557,351.

The Easy 5 jackpot also was not hit during the month, bringing total prizes to $190,677 with $85,602 of that total being won on ezmatch™, an instant-win option available for an additional $1.

In total, draw-style game winnings from drawings held in October were $7,998,919. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings from those tickets.

The Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing and check them promptly after the drawing. Even if a ticket does not win the jackpot, it could have won another prize.

Scratch-Off and Fast Play Prizes
In addition to the $17,952,960 in scratch-off cash prizes paid during October, players also claimed $1,972,069 in free-ticket prizes.

Players of the Lottery’s instant-win terminal Fast Play games won $999,599 in prizes in October.

According to Lottery policy, scratch-off games are closed when all top prizes are claimed; scratch-off and Fast Play winning tickets can be claimed up to 90 days following the closure of the game. A list of current scratch-off games, prizes remaining and claim deadlines can be found on its website, www.louisianalottery.com/scratch-offs. Fast Play games, prizes, winnings and claim deadlines can be found on the Lottery’s website: www.louisianalottery.com/fast-play.
