BATON ROUGE – Louisiana scratch-off players took home over $17 million in cash prizes in February, including a $200,000 winning Six Figures scratch-off sold in Denham Springs. The Louisiana Lottery also reported over $8 million in winnings from February drawings, including the sale of a $1 million winning match-5 Powerball ticket. Finally, Fast Play players also took home over $800,000 last month.

Powerball wins in February reached $1,273,586, after a million-dollar-winning match-5 ticket was sold in Mandeville at the beginning of the month. An additional $315,991 was won by players purchasing the Power Play option, for a combined total of $1,589,577 in winnings. The $1 Power Play option gives Powerball players the chance to increase any non-jackpot prize.
February Mega Millions drawings produced $451,875 in winnings.
Lotto’s monthly total winnings were $279,107. Easy 5 total winnings came in at $179,564, with $76,257 of that total being won on ezmatch™, an instant-win option available for an additional $1.
In total, draw-style game winnings from drawings held in February totaled $8,023,643. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings from those tickets.
The Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing and check them promptly after each drawing. Even if a ticket does not win the jackpot, it could have won another prize.
Scratch-Off and Fast Play Prizes
In addition to the $17,329,421 in scratch-off cash prizes paid during February, players also claimed $1,795,896 in free-ticket prizes.
