LOUISIANA LOTTERY REPORTS DECEMBER WINNINGS

BATON ROUGE – Louisiana scratch-off players took home over $20 million in cash prizes in December, driven in part by two $500,000 top-prize-winning 100X the Cash scratch-offs sold in New Orleans and Robert. The Louisiana Lottery also reported nearly $11 million in winnings from December drawings, including two Easy 5 jackpot wins. Fast Play players also took home just under $900,000 last month. 

The Lottery’s daily game winnings held steady, though Pick 4 saw a significant increase with the amount won doubling from November to December. 

Draw-Style Game Prizes 

• Pick 3: $2,531,730 

• Pick 4: $4,222,300 

• Pick 5: $497,400 

Powerball wins saw a huge increase in December, due to the $1.8 billion jackpot won on December 24. Prizes totaled $1,076,174 and an additional $1,447,992 was won by players purchasing the Power Play option, for a combined total of $2,524,166 in Powerball winnings. The $1 Power Play option gives Powerball players the chance to increase any non-jackpot prize.  

December Mega Millions drawings produced $498,690 in winnings. 

The Lotto jackpot was not hit during the month of December, however there were 71 match-5 Lotto prizes won, totaling $71,000, which brought Lotto’s monthly total winnings to $338,156.  

Two Easy 5 tickets — one sold in River Ridge and one in Gonzales — shared the $130,000 jackpot in December, with each player winning $65,000. Total prizes were $329,790 with $91,708 of that total being won on ezmatch™, an instant-win option available for an additional $1. 

In total, draw-style game winnings from drawings held in December totaled $10,942,232. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings from those tickets.  

The Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchase and check them promptly after each drawing. Even if a ticket does not win the jackpot, it could have won another prize.  

Scratch-Off and Fast Play Prizes 
In addition to the $20,191,865 in scratch-off cash prizes paid during December, players also claimed $2,073,068 in free-ticket prizes.  

Players of the Lottery’s instant-win terminal Fast Play games saw $896,810 in winnings in December.
