Louisiana Lottery Players Can Enter NASCAR Powerball – The Chase to $1 Million Promotion

BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Lottery is joining Powerball® and NASCAR® to launch NASCAR Powerball – The Chase to $1 Million, a new national promotion giving Louisiana players additional chances to win cash prizes and a once-in-a-lifetime NASCAR Championship Weekend™ experience. 

The promotion follows the excitement of the NASCAR season and will culminate with one player winning $1 million during a live televised drawing ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series Championship™ Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway® in November 2026. 

“We’re excited to give Louisiana players another way to experience the excitement of Powerball and NASCAR,” said Louisiana Lottery President Rose Hudson. “Promotions like this create unforgettable experiences for our players while adding even more excitement to every Powerball ticket.” 

How Louisiana Players Enter
Beginning March 2, 2026, Louisiana Lottery players may enter the NASCAR Powerball – The Chase to $1 Million promotion through a Powerball second-chance drawing by mailing qualifying non-winning tickets. 

Each entry must include ONE of the following: 

  • $10 in non-winning $2 Powerball scratch-off tickets, OR 
  • One non-winning $10 Powerball 5-board single-draw ticket purchased beginning March 2, 2026.

Each entry should be mailed separately. Players may enter multiple times but may win only one prize per drawing. 

Entry deadline: July 13, 2026. 

Louisiana will select one semifinalist through an in-state second-chance drawing to advance to the national NASCAR Powerball – The Chase to $1 Million promotion alongside representatives from other participating lotteries. 

National Promotion Highlights
The national Powerball promotion gives lottery players the chance to collect cash prizes through a series of drawings during The Chase. The promotion will culminate with four lottery players winning a VIP trip for two to NASCAR Championship Weekend™ in Miami, Nov. 6–9, 2026, where one player will win $1 million in a special drawing televised live on NBC before the start of the NASCAR Cup Series Championship™ Race. 

During the national promotion: 

  • Each semifinalist wins $2,000 at the start of The Chase 
  • Advancing players earn additional cash prizes through successive drawings 
  • Four finalists win a VIP trip for two to NASCAR Championship Weekend™ 
  • One finalist will win $1 million in a live televised drawing 

Drawing results will be revealed during select NASCAR race broadcasts throughout the Chase beginning with the Darlington Speedway on September 6, 2026. 

VIP Championship Weekend Experience
The VIP trip includes roundtrip airfare for two to Miami, three nights of hotel accommodations (double occupancy), Ally Pit Box passes for both the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Championship Race and the NASCAR Cup Series Championship™ Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway®, VIP access experiences, a NASCAR team hauler tour, MRN radio booth tour, pace car rides, Victory Lane access, meals, and ground transportation to scheduled events and activities.
